NUG Expands Award-Winning Edibles Portfolio
with New Frozen CBD-THC Pops
Seed to sale brand’s latest creation is infused via nano-emulsion technology for
rapid-onset; five unique flavors available

OAKLAND, CA (December 10, 2019) — NUG, one of the premier diversified cannabis companies in California, today announced a nostalgia-inducing addition to its lineup of award-winning products: the Frozen NUG Pop, available in five bold flavors with each bar containing an equal amount of CBD and THC.

Each Frozen NUG Pop is infused with both 10 mg THC and 10 mg CBD through state-of-the-art nano-emulsion technology, which maximizes bioavailability. In other words, consumers can expect to feel the effects of these icy treats in about 10 minutes. The Pops are now available at NUG stores (locations include NUG Sacramento, which was recently voted “best place to buy cannabis” by Sacramento Magazine readers, and the brand’s newest outpost in San Leandro, NUG Wellness) and soon at dispensaries across California.

With recipes developed by NUG Edibles Department Director Chef Tyler Cooke, Frozen NUG Pops are made with all-natural fruit purees and sweetened with agave. They can be eaten on the spot upon purchase, or stored in home freezers for a refreshing treat at any time. The Frozen NUG Pops come in five flavors reminiscent of restaurant-quality desserts and cocktails:

  • Blackberry Pineapple
  • Raspberry Pomegranate
  • Salted Caramel Apple
  • Prickly Pear Margarita
  • Watermelon Lychee Lemonade

“Between the complex flavor combinations and their early onset effects, the Frozen NUG Pops are an exciting grown-up version of a classic ice pop,” said Chef Cooke, who cut his teeth as a restaurant chef for more than a decade before becoming the culinary wizard behind NUG’s most popular edible creations.
“We’re also excited to introduce another product that utilizes the positive effects of both CBD and THC.”

This has been a banner year for NUG’s Edibles Department, as the team continues to innovate. In August, NUG debuted the Matcha White Chocolate NUG Bar, the first premium matcha-white chocolate edible treat featuring a 1 to 1 ratio of CBD and THC sold in California. The brand also recently introduced the Cookies & Cream White Chocolate Bar, just in time for an adult holiday candy indulgence.

“As a seed to sale brand, we pride ourselves in our sophistication and mastery in every aspect of the supply chain, especially with regards to developing cutting-edge yet consumer-friendly products,” said NUG CEO and Founder Dr. John Oram. We’re so proud of how our Edibles Department has evolved to consistently create crave-worthy cannabis-infused foods of superior quality.”

NUG cultivates and extracts all of its own cannabis at its Oakland, CA facilities to ensure that only the finest quality is used in its product lines. To find out where to purchase the new Frozen NUG Pop and other products, visit http://nug.com/.
