You might be asking yourself, “What is a leading Cannabis company like NUG doing at a carshow with hundreds of souped up cars?” Good question. NUG and our partner White Fire Dispensary recently teamed up to sponsor WEKFEST, (pronounced week-fest) a leading car showcase that started locally in an underground garage in San Francisco, and has now grown to serve 8 domestic cities as well as internationally in Japan.
WEKFEST is about pushing boundaries, expressing yourself, and moving culture forward — it’s no wonder why they tapped NUG to be their first ever Cannabis sponsor. Not only do we support their vision, it aligns with our goal of normalizing the Cannabis experience for everyone. The San Jose convention center was packed with over 15,000 attendees of all walks of life — mainly there for their love of cars and with lines of people happy to see a NUG booth.
So back to the question, “What is a Cannabis brand doing at a car show?” Well, we were all pleasantly shocked with how busy our booth was. The Nug Marketing team and our partners at White Fire saw hundreds of people during the short 6 hour event, educated many on our brands, greeted those who were already familiar with us, and signed up hundreds of 420 friendly automotive enthusiasts to our VIP lists.
It really couldn’t have gone any better. Attendees were extremely stoked to receive special pricing on NUG Live Resin at White Fire and to top it off, they got to enter a Puffco raffle, and spin the NUG prize wheel for sweet NUG swag. From Laborghinis to Live Resin, it’s safe to say there is no shortage of Cannabis friendly users within the subcultures of the Car enthusiast community.
